What areas do you cover?
I travel across Greater Manchester. If you're unsure whether where you live counts as part of Greater Manchester, you can check if you are within the bounds of the Bee Network here.
Before I can offer potential times and dates for bookings, I need to know at least the area you live in (for example, Levenshulme), so I can co-ordinate with where I am already travelling to.
How much in advance do I need to book?
Currently, I can usually find space a week in advance. But the more in advance you book, the more likely I will be available on a day that works well for you. Depending on where I was already going to be, I have been able to squeeze people in with only a couple of days notice.
Where in my house/flat would you cut my hair?
I perform most haircuts in kitchens. They are easy to sweep, generally have chairs, and there's usually enough space for me to get all the way around you. But if that doesn't work with your space we should be able to figure something else out. I have cut hair in bathrooms, including one so small that the client had to turn on the spot for me to reach each part of their head. Another client only had armchairs, and so perched on one arm while I cut their hair.
Bear in mind that I will need to keep my shoes on during the cut, and recommend you also wear some form of footwear. What are hair splinters?
What do I need to do to prepare?
Please have clean hair. If you have curly hair, please use all of your usual products, so I can see how your curls usually sit.
If you are booked in for a restyle, inspiration pictures are very useful. It helps in making sure we're on the same page, especially if you are uncertain of the right technical terms to describe what you are looking for.
I bring a mirror with me, so you do not need to worry about having one to hand.
How curly can you cut?
I have experience cutting up to a 3c curl. I have not had training in coily/afro textured hair (4a-c), and so have only felt comfortable performing simple clipper cuts such as this photo of Nic, for this hair type.
How much do you charge?
See Pricing.
How do I pay you?
I accept bank transfer or cash.
As a sole trader there is no legal distinction between my "business" and "personal" money. The account I receive transfers into is a personal one. If your bank asks what kind of account you are paying into, please choose personal and not business.
I am not currently able to take card or contactless payments.
Do you accept tips?
Yes. (There is no obligation to tip).
